While you may know our Rental Advisors, Founders, and C-Suite, do you know the people who build and maintain Futurestay? They’re our product and tech team.
You’ve met Faber and Kevin so far. Now we’d like to introduce Jeni, our UX Product Developer.
I started coding in India while I was [pursuing] my Bachelor’s degree. I started to like coding more and more as I made different things, just by writing some code.
After that I wanted to study code in more detail, so I came to the USA to pursue my Master’s degree in the field of computer science. Now I work for Futurestay and love what I do!
What I absolutely love about coding is that I can create anything that I can imagine. It is very satisfying to build something out of nothing.
We (as software developers), write code and make various apps that help people in day-to-day life so that they can focus on other important things. As a developer, I feel amazing when I finish some project or code and can see the final results.
I have been fortunate enough to work for Futurestay where I have been able to progress and be continually challenged. I would hope that my next role allows for that to continue over the next five years.
I have learned so many skills after joining Futurestay that I haven’t learned in my past 6 years of coding. I have learned different concepts and languages that I now get the chance to apply/use in more practical ways.
I love our team here at Futurestay. Everyone is so helpful, understanding, smart, and funny. I couldn’t wait to come here and start my day and work with our team.
Everyone is enthusiastic about learning new things. I really love that about them. Everyone inspires me to learn and grow more each day.
I am looking forward to working alongside my colleagues to make Futurestay better each day. I will use my skills to help make Futurestay’s product the best it can be for our community.
Usually, I would stick with Indian food, pizza, or Mexican food. But after joining Futurestay, well, I have tasted so many foods from across the world! My colleagues showed me Cambodian, Vietnamese, and Korean [dishes] that I have never tried before.
It is a great experience enjoying different kinds of food. Some of the dishes were amazing and I would love to try others.
In my spare time, I love to play tennis. Tennis is my life. Four years ago I played tennis at India’s National level. Now I just play it as a hobby.
I also love running, it helps me clear my mind. Other than that, I read novels, explore new places, and just enjoy my time with nature.
I have traveled so much while back in India. I have been to most major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Bhopal, Jaipur and so many others.
I have also traveled to many beautiful places in the USA such as Niagara Falls, New York City, Chicago, and Chattanooga.
I would love to go to Switzerland one day. Switzerland’s my favorite place and that’s where my favorite tennis player lives. Plus, [if I went], I can get different varieties of chocolates. I am a huge fan of chocolate.
Jeni has been an amazing addition to the Futurestay team. We’re happy to have her dedication and attention to detail on our product team.
